Welcome back all cricket lovers!
The 2011 season approaches fast and as usual the Martinstown Cricket Club Committee and supporters have been hard at work during the winter months to put in place further improvements to our wonderful facility. By the time outside practice starts in Spring 2011 there will be a new nets facility set up on the far side of the ground in addition to those already close to the pavilion; the grass wicket has been extended in the autumn so that the ground staff can offer the youth the possibility of grass to play on in the year. Also the car park has also undergone major extension work, making Ashton a wonderful place to play and watch cricket.
The club has a fabulous team of supporters and workers and we run cricket for all from the very youngest to those perhaps thinking their cricketing days are nearly over. We have an inspirational team of coaches and welcome any player young or old who wishes to become involved. Don’t be a couch potato and get involved by calling or emailing and I will be very happy to introduce you and take you through our club.
