Welcome again to our very popular and successful website which since its start has provided a wide and interesting variety of information to our members and a very popular forum where all are able to air their views on any number of subjects.
You only need to sign in and then click on ‘community’ to get to the heart of our club. Our club magazine "The Martinstown Cricketer" (previous editions available in the ‘news’ section) goes from strength to strength and I can recommend it to you all. The ‘news’ section of this site is regularly updated with club developments and events, so stayed tuned in!
This winter we have not been idle: we have a new storage facility thanks entirely to Paul House and his persistence; Jim has taken on the task of complete refurbishment of the mobile nets and the erection of an "Alex Skidmore bowling protector" in the main nets; You will also note that the water supply from our own borehole has been completed along with the new grass wickets; Finally, the viewing facilities at our beautiful ground have been enhanced. However there is still much to do.
I want to mention our youth organised by Nick Quintrell and their willingness to help raise funds. The youth section packed bags at Waitrose for a whole day that raised a fabulous sum of £750, an excellent effort and gave our club positive exposure and made me very proud. We will continue to improve and update our club facilities and it’s my intention with your continued help to make it into one of the best cricket venues in Dorset. Please feel free to visit us at Ashton and sample the delights.
